Parenting & Down syndrome
This website is a collaboration of resources related to Universal Design for Learning and Assistive Technologies for children and adults who have Down Syndrome. In this resource, you will find five pages that talk about what to look for in your child's classroom, how to incorporate assistive technology in the IEP, what low cost or no cost resources are available for children with Down Syndrome, what cognitive accommodations can be made for your child, and what physical accommodations are available for your child.
On each page, you will see curations of information explaining the sources that are posted as links on the page. Use these curations to not only expand your own knowledge, but to know what to expect when you arrive at the resource.
The creators of this website are seniors in their Special Education program. As future educators, we desire that you be equipped with the tools you need in order to give your child the best life he or she can have. We hope that you find all that you are looking for or that our resources help to lead you in the right direction to what you are looking for. Thank you for visiting our website!
